This season sees the introduction of the new Arbortec Scafell Lite; a boot Arbortec claim will become a market leader in the Arborist chainsaw protection sector.
The boot is definitely eye-catching. We saw a prototype here earlier in the year and it immediately got us excited. Visually; with its three striking colours and modern appearance, it is a real head turner. We think it’s one of the best looking boots we’ve come across.
The Scafell lite is available in 3 colours, Black, the standard “Arbortec green” plus “Electric Blue”.
The Scafell Lite offers Class 2 protection as standard, meaning it offers better protection than its, more expensive brother – The Scafell Green Trekker (Class 1). It is a good deal lighter too, in fact the Scafell Lite claims to be the lightest Class 2 chainsaw protection boot on the market!
his chainsaw protective boot comes with BreatheDry waterproof technology and Uses Aratex Chainsaw protection.
The boot has a 4D sole, designed for comfort and support.
The 4D sole incorporates a puncture proof midsole and a Vibram outsole unit which; like all boots that use the Vibram sole, can be replaced when necessary.
We especially like the heavy weight ankle support strap and the elastic cuff (much like that found on the Arbpro Clip’n Step) that hugs the ankle preventing debris dropping into the boot.
Whether or not the Scafell Lite becomes the bestselling chainsaw boot on the market remains to be seen, but we like what we have seen so far!
